Congratulations to Brynn for winning this weeks “Lingerie Piece of the Week” GiveAway!

Baci announced it had raised $4,400 for the Eileen Stein Jacoby Fund for breast cancer at Baci’s first annual charity dinner.  The dinner was held in Las Vegas during Baci’s successful appearance at the 2012 International Lingerie Show (ILS).

Baci donated $100 to the Eileen Stein Jacoby Fund (a division of the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) on behalf of each dinner guest.  The Koretsky Family Foundation matched each donation.  All guests received Baci swag bags and Baci breast cancer awareness pins, while enjoying a wonderful evening of dinner and drinks at Gordon Biersch.

The Eileen Stein Jacoby Fund founder Cheryl Stein says, “The Eileen Stein Jacoby Fund would like to thank Baci Lingerie and the Koretsky Family Foundation for their most generous donation of $4,400.  Baci is a socially conscious company integrating philanthropy into its everyday business model.”

Thank you Baci Lingerie, The Eileen Stien Jacoby Fund and The Fox Chase Cancer Center for all you do and have done in the fight against breast cancer.

The 6th Annual STOREROTICA Awards (for soft goods)

This year’s “soft product” awards include one new category: The Special Focus Award, honoring one Special Focus editorial produced by STOREROTICA Magazine over the past six issues (note: there was also a Special Focus Award category in STOREROTICA’s Awards for “hard products,” presented at the July 2012 ANME Founders Show).  In 2012, the STOREROTICA Special Focus Award honors eight companies who were featured in the Special Focus on Corsets, which appeared in the December 2011 issue.

“Corsets have dramatically evolved in the erotic retail industry, from a traditional one-use item into a versatile, multi-use piece of intimate apparel,” says STOREROTICA Editor Kristofer Kay, of the 2012 Special Focus Award.  “Soft good manufacturers are once again seeking to capitalize on the revival and develop new styles of corsets for a new, broader range of customer.”

Additionally, the 2012 STOREROTICA Awards will honor the diversity that comprises the hard work and dedication in the soft goods industry.  Categories to be featured this year will also include: “Lingerie Manufacturer of the Year,” “Dancewear Manufacturer of the Year,” “Costume Manufacturer of the Year,” “Shoe Manufacturer of the Year” and the “Accessory Manufacturer of the Year”.

The STOREROTICA Awards will be awarded on Monday, September 10th during the opening night fashion show at ILS.

1) When & where did you get your start?

A few years ago, we noticed that the trends in lingerie didn’t match what we actually saw out in the clubs. Lingerie was too frilly and lacy—too ladylike for the crazy all-night parties of today. So we put together a team of top designers, hired the hottest models, and created Pink Lipstick, a brand especially for 24/7 party people!
 
2) Tell us about a struggle or problem you over came and how as a start up company?

When we launched, people said that the combination of clubwear and risqué lingerie couldn’t work, that we were merging two incompatible worlds. But we trusted our instincts, stuck with it, and it worked!
 
3) What do you like the most about working in this industry?

All the positive feedback we get from our customers makes it fun to come to work every day—just to see that our concepts and execution are appreciated means a lot.

4) What do you think separates you from the rest of the manufacturers?

Our garments are sexy, wild, and fun, we come out with hot new stuff all the time, and the prices just can’t be beat—no competitor can offer the value we offer.
 
5) Tell us more about your latest line?

The spectrum for Pink Lipstick has expanded to include more than just the modern party girl. The dancer wears it by itself. The party girl wears the full-coverage sequin dresses, or layers the sexy revealing styles with a g-string and a tank. The girl on the street adds cutoff jean shorts and throws a bandeau or tank under the shredded seamless pieces. And we’ve heard from more than one customer whose mother has asked to borrow her Pink Lipstick clubwear!
